How does it work?

travel maps

This is very simple!

First, decide which app you will use during your trip! You can download our maps to both the Google Maps and maps.me applications.

The advantage of Google Maps is that (if you have access to the Internet), by clicking on the point we have marked, you can immediately see the area (Street View) and set the route, taking into account traffic jams. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to open our maps without internet access 🙁

The advantage of maps.me is that it is much more detailed. This application is especially useful during hiking trips: it has marked even rarely used paths that cannot be found on Google Maps. And, you can use our maps even without internet access!

If you can’t decide, we recommend purchasing both maps! Then you will feel 100% safe.

After purchase

After paying for access to the maps, you will automatically receive an e-mail from us with instructions for installing the maps (if you have trouble downloading the instructions to your phone, you can always download it to your computer and send it, e.g. by e-mail, to your phone. Depending on what type of map you have chosen/ However, the installation process will vary

If you chose Google Maps, there will be a direct link to the maps. in the manual. You can click on it as many times as you want and from any device.

If you have selected maps for the maps.me application, you will receive a link to download maps in .kmz format that we have placed on our disk. Just click on this file on your phone, download it and select it to open

It depends on which application you will use during your trip (Google Maps or maps.me).

After paying for your purchase, you will receive an email from us entitled “Here’s access to your maps”. There is a file to download in this email, and in this file you will find a link to the maps.

In the case of Google Maps, just click on the link and the maps will open automatically (but you must have access to the Internet).

Our maps contain the result of our many months of preparation for each trip. Each map contains a set of segregated geographical points of travellers’ interests, such as: hotels, restaurants, tourist points divided into categories depending on their attractiveness, beaches (although not in every country :)), trekking places, local markets and dangerous points.

Additionally, each point has a short description telling you what you can see, eat, buy there and how to get there (in English, because we are an English-speaking family).

The points you will find in the purchased maps have been verified by us – we were there personally! After our visit, we add comments or rank a given point (tourist attraction) according to our subjective assessment.

You can open maps on any mobile device (phone, iPad) or computer (only Google Maps, because maps.me does not have a computer application).

In the case of the maps.me application, you will be able to use your maps (after installing them) regardless of whether you have access to the Internet – this is especially important when traveling.

As a rule, the points we mark are 100% accurate. We simply visited these points ourselves, so we verified their exact location.

It sometimes happens that the points we mark concern the entire region and not a specific location. In such a case, such a point is described in detail (this is what we did, for example, in the map of Sicily in the case of the island and town of Stromboli – the entire town is charming, so you will find a point with the description “the whole city – wander around the area”)

It depends on which map you prefer to use when traveling. Regardless of which map you choose, the points we marked and their descriptions are identical.

From our experience, we will tell you that each application has its pros and cons.

The advantage of Google Maps is that (if you have access to the Internet), by clicking on the point we have marked, you can immediately see the area (Street View) and set the route, taking into account traffic jams.

The advantage of maps.me is that it is much more detailed. This application is especially useful during hiking trips: it has marked even rarely used paths that cannot be found on Google Maps. But above all, our maps will be available to you (after installing them in the maps.me application) regardless of whether you have access to the Internet!

If you can’t decide, we recommend purchasing both maps! Then you will feel 100% safe.

If you are going to a country you don’t know, it is worth planning your trip before leaving. However, not everyone has time for this, and certainly not everyone wants to devote several months to such preparations. If you are one of the people who wants to save time – our maps are for you.

Imagine waking up in the morning at your travel destination. Just open our maps in your map application (Google Maps or maps.me) and find the place where you are. Then you will see what you can do around you: what are the tourist attractions (appropriately marked according to our subjective opinion after our visit to a given place), where you can eat well or where to buy interesting souvenirs.

Now imagine a different situation – you arrive in a city you don’t know and you don’t have any accommodation booked! Just turn on our map and you will receive a list of hotels, hostels and campsites with their geolocation and our opinion!

Helpful? Oh yeah!

For the whole life! Seriously.

It’s up to you to decide what to do with the purchased maps. After completing your trip, you can delete our maps or leave them for longer.

No. Access to the map is assigned to the e-mail address you provide during purchase. Only the device on which you logged in to Google Maps or maps.me to the provided e-mail address will have access to our maps.

If your friends need maps, we encourage you to buy them in our store!

For a simple reason. Because we weren’t there ourselves!

We go on our trips at least twice a year. Therefore, there is a good chance that when you visit our website, we are in a place that will be interesting for you and the map is being created! Visit us more often!

It depends.

First of all: when it comes to the names of e.g. cities, it depends on the language you have set in the application.

Secondly, when it comes to the titles given to our points, they are usually in two languages: local (to make it easy for you, for example, to indicate the destination to locals) and English.

Third, each point has a short description (e.g. “temple with a tower with 200 steep steps”). These descriptions are in English only.
